# Bit-Collapse Theory (BCT) - Phase 2

**One-liner.** BCT treats collapse as an agent-relative informational update: an experienced state is an equivalence class of global states (i.e. underlying micro-realizations of the total system) that are indistinguishable under an agent's physical access and stable record structure; collapse is the discrete update of that class when stable record structure changes.

## What BCT is
- A non-elastic account of observer-definiteness grounded in physical access, finite integration, and stable records.
- A reinterpretation of collapse as a class-label update rather than a new non-unitary force.
- A narrow falsifiability program focused on the retention-driven bridge between verified which-way information, record persistence, and event-like definiteness.

## What BCT is not
- Not knowledge-causes-collapse.
- Not a new collapse force.
- Not Many-Worlds rebranded: unitarity may be retained, but subject-counting and observer-world counting do not automatically follow branch multiplicity.
